The status of Mother in Islam

► The word mother is not only a word, it is a blessing and gift from almighty Allah. It is the first word a baby utters, loves and calls out loud no matter it is a happy or sad moment of its life. Islam gives mothers (as well as any woman) the highest position and commands children to be grateful, respectful, kind and obedience to their mothers, and has drawn the people’s attention to this matter in various remarks. It considers the attainment of the last phase of perfection, namely paradise, dependent on the mother’s satisfaction, and says “Heaven lies beneath the feet of mothers”.
